Our Mission

YASA (Youth Against Sexual Assault) is a non-profit organization founded by Antara Martins and Govind Ramakrishnan, to kick off an international wide campaign to raise awareness and combat gender violence and sexual assault. Fundamentally, we recognise in order to do this, we must first challenge and dismantle the pervasive systems of gender inequality that fuel such violence. We strive to combat harmful stereotypes, rape culture, and the barriers women face in seeking justice within the legal system. By empowering individuals and communities, we aim to drive meaningful change, promote equity, and advocate for a world where everyone, regardless of gender, feels safe and respected. YASA's efforts stem from the foundational principle that all women have the basic right to safety, and aims to inspire a youth-led revolution where men and women alike unite to create positive, impactful reform.

Letter From the Founder

Dear Patron,

As a valued supporter of YASA we want to take a moment to express our deepest gratitude for your continued commitment to our cause. Your belief in our mission is what allows us to keep moving forward in the fight against gender inequality and sexual violence, and we could not be more thankful.

The importance of this cause cannot be overstated. Around the world, countless individuals—especially women—continue to face systemic violence, discrimination, and barriers in accessing justice. Gender inequality is more than an issue of unfair treatment; it is a matter of dignity, human rights, and safety. Every day, survivors of sexual assault are silenced, their voices lost in systems that do not protect them, and justice remains an elusive goal for too many.

At YASA, we are not only addressing these issues head-on but also working to challenge and dismantle the deep-rooted stereotypes and harmful cultural norms that perpetuate rape culture and gender-based violence. We believe that every individual has the right to live without fear, and that starts by transforming our societal attitudes and reforming the systems that have long failed survivors.

Your support is crucial to this effort. With your help, we are able to run educational programs, advocate for reform, and spread awareness to prevent future harm. Together, we are creating a movement—one that empowers young people to take a stand and creates pathways for long-lasting, meaningful change.

Thank you for standing with us. We look forward to continuing this journey toward a more just and equitable world, knowing that with patrons like you, we are stronger and more impactful than ever.
