Antara Martins: CO-Founder, CEO

Antara Martins is a Year 13 student at Godolphin & Latymer - one of London’s top private schools.
She plans to study liberal arts in college and is an avid reader, feminist and public debater. She is passionate about women’s rights advocacy and fighting misogyny. Antara writes thought provoking pieces for her blog - Antarology. Her blogs can be accessed at www.antarology.com

As Co-CEO of YASA, she works closely with the YASA team in executing YASA’s vision. Her objective is to help eradicate artificially imposed boundaries for young women, fight for gender equality globally and be an active spokesperson on preventing sexual assault on teens and women.

In her spare time, she sings pop music and plays the guitar. She represents Godolphin’s debating team in venues around the UK and has won several awards for debating in the UK.

Govind Ramakrishnan: CO-Founder

Govind is a recent graduate of Harvard College where he studied Economics . He is deeply interested in studying the classics and is focused on Latin and Sanskrit. Govind is a huge basketball and soccer fan and one day hopes to be the general manager of the New York Knicks. In his free time, he writes poetry, plays table tennis, and listens to a wide range of music. Govind currently works at the Blackstone Group in Private Equity in New York.



Mahesh Ramakrishnan: Board

Mahesh is a graduate of Harvard University and is currently a student at Harvard Business School. He has worked closely with India’s premier NGO: Agastya International Foundation to take math and science education to the village kids of India. Mahesh was a contributing writer to Opus Media in the U.K. and was formerly an investment banker at Goldman Sachs and more recently an Associate at Apollo Global Management.


Malavika Shankar: Board

Malavika is a Vice President in the Equity division at J.P. Morgan and Company in Hong Kong. She completed her undergraduate degree in Economics from Singapore Management University, and is currently pursuing a Masters in International and Public Affairs at Hong Kong University. Malavika is passionately involved in the realm of Youth Education through NGOs in India and Hong Kong.
